Cooking classes at Roots to River provide a space where cooks of all levels can come together to enjoy great seasonal food, learn about the farm, and connect with their community.
From knife skills to bread making, our chef instructors will guide you through the ingredients, techniques, and know-how needed to make you a more successful home cook. Classes are fully immersive, including occasional visits to the fields, hands-on cooking, and one-on-one interaction with our chefs. Most importantly, after we’ve hung up our aprons we’ll all sit down to enjoy a shared meal of the delicious food we’ve prepared together.
All classes feature produce grown right here at Roots to River Farm as well as sustainable fruit, meat, dairy, and seafood sourced locally from our farmer-friends. This partnership between the farm and the school provides a model for what truly local and seasonal eating looks like; and one where people are intimately connected with their farmers and their food.
