Harvest Boxes
– A CSA, Your Way –
"Eating with the fullest pleasure — pleasure, that is, that does not depend on ignorance — is perhaps the profoundest enactment of our connection with the world."
-Wendell Berry, "The Pleasures of Eating"

As Solebury’s first CSA, we’ve been growing organic produce for our neighbors for 10 years now. And our Harvest Box Membership (CSA Program) is the primary way Roots to River feeds our community: from seed to table, we plant, pick, pack, and distribute over 120 varieties of produce annually to hundreds of members.
Over the past decade, and thousands of pounds of veggies later, we’ve learned a lot about what our members most love about this program and have built a customizable share that fits your life. Now, with a continued focus on variety, flexibility, and, most of all, flavor, we are excited to continue to share our harvest with you this year.

Pre-order exactly which vegetables you want. We harvest them fresh, just for you, every week.
Members receive a weekly harvest list and description of available items from the farm via email. Using an easy online order form, you select exactly what produce items you want for your box that week. Items will be defined on your order form, for instance:
1 bunch beets = 1 item, 2 pounds tomatoes = 1 item, 1 head cabbage = 1 item, 4 sweet peppers = 1 item (note: items will vary by week)
If you do not make a selection online, we curate a farmer’s variety box for you of the best and freshest items we have available.
In addition to vegetables, Harvest Box members have the option to purchase local fruit, farm products (like soups, pickles, sauces) to be added to their boxes.
Finally, once you’ve placed your order, we harvest your selected veggies, pack your box along with any add-ons, and have them ready for pick up later in the week!
