Pickup #7

Heat. That seems to be the theme this week. With every day in the 90’s it is tough to get a lot done. We work slower, take more breaks and the whole thing really isn’t as fun. Our cooler loving crops don’t have as much fun in this heat as well. You’ll notice many of our spring crops start to fade from the list as they melt into the heat. But our heat loving crops are looking great and will be coming on strong in the next few weeks. Get ready for peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant. Keep those cucumber salads going and the zucchini grilling.

Scenes from the farm: Duma loves to help load the truck, Bronwyn in the massive pole bean forest (no beans yet though!), the pepper/eggplant/tomato field looking great, Tammy’s beautiful herb bunches for the share.
