Frequently Asked Questions
About our CSA!
What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you join our CSA, you purchase a share of our harvest at the beginning of the season. In return, you receive a regular box of fresh, farm-grown vegetables throughout the season. It's a partnership — you support us early when we need it most, and we reward you with the freshest produce possible all season long.
What vegetables come in my share?
That depends on you! Each pickup, you pre-order exactly what vegetables you want. The veggies options vary each week based on whatever is growing at peak freshness that week. You can expect a rotating mix of seasonal vegetables, think leafy greens, root vegetables, summer squash, tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and more. We always aim to include a mix of everyday staples and something new to try. A full list of what's in each week's share is posted on our website and sent by email before pickup.
How long is the season?
Our CSA season runs from early June through late October, for 22 weeks. We'll send you all the details before your first pickup.
How does it work?
Before your pickup day, you'll receive an email from the farm with a harvest list describing what's available that week. Simply choose exactly what you'd like using our easy online order form then we harvest and pack your selections fresh into a reusable tote box, ready for you to grab on pickup day!
What’s the difference between weekly, bi-weekly and flex shares?
A weekly share means you pick up every week throughout the season (22 pickups). A bi-weekly share means you pick up every other week (11 pickups), and flex share means you select which weeks you want to pickup (16 pickups over the 22 week season).
How much produce should I expect?
You decide if you want 6 items or 10 items per pickup. Each item is defined on the online order form.
For example: 1 bunch beets = 1 item, 2 pounds tomatoes = 1 item, 1 head cabbage = 1 item, 4 sweet peppers = 1 item
When and where do I pick up?
All pickups are at the farm at our Amara Kitchen & Tasting Room (3175 N Sugan Rd, New Hope, PA 18938). Pickup days and hours are: Wednesdays from 2-7pm or Saturdays from 11am-4pm.
While you are here, you can also order brick-oven pizza, Amara and other drinks, purchase extra produce, soups and sauces and just unwind on the farm! We also have pick-your-own gardens and play space for kids!
What if I can’t pick up one week?
No problem, please let us know in advance. You're welcome to send a friend or family member to pick up on your behalf. Unfortunately, we're unable to offer credits for shares that aren't picked up without advance notice.
Are your vegetables certified organic?
Yes! We are certified organic. We grow using sustainable and regenerative practices.
