Spring!

What a wonderful feeling to have it be light outside while I write this in the evening after coming home from the farm. There really is something instinctual about the seasons changing. Spring is full of new motivations to be more organized and get on the right track - maybe spring resolutions would stick more solidly than those we make in the dead of winter. It's energizing and magical to notice things blooming and buzzing and chirping around us. We aren't tied to our summer routines or readying ourselves for hibernation in the fall, spring is a time of new beginnings and runs to the dump. We are sad to have our Winter CSA come to a close but we feel good about turning over the greenhouse from bolted aphid infested greens to new seedlings full of hope and beginnings. April and May are the darkest days for fresh vegetable consumption but it's a necessary time to get our first crops planted and on the shelves for June. We hope you enjoyed your winter eating adventure and we look forward to seeing you in the coming seasons!
